The windward pier of the port, was constructed in several phases in the past, showing stability problems, due either to lack of in places boulders shielding sufficient weight or the low level of immunity resulting in overcoming by the waves and damages.
After the latest operations completed the pier shield was strengthened and secured, which is necessary for the smooth operation of the port generaly.
